On the Unpacked keynote of the Galaxy Note 3, Samsung has claimed significant improvements over the Galaxy Note 2's battery run time due to increased efficiency, such as four hours of additional video playback time.[13]

Removing the stylus from its compartment or pressing its button whilst hovering over the display activates the new "Air Command" pie menu which provides shortcuts to pen-oriented features such as Action Memos (on-screen sticky notes that use handwriting recognition to detect their contents and provide relevant actions, such as looking up addresses on Google Maps and dialing phone numbers), Screen Write (an annotation tool), Pen Window (which allows users to draw pop-up windows to run certain apps inside), the search tool S Finder, and Scrapbook (which allows storing and categorizing image and text excerpts from various apps).[24]
There are also interfaces for answering incoming calls and snooze or stop a ringing alarm clock, music playback controls, title and artist name, album cover and playlist browser; the ability to create Action Memos (digital post-it notes), weather information, S Health step counter (if activated), and a basic photo camera interface[a] with the ability to browse recent photos.

Take my advice coming from the Note 2 samsung have to do something about this camera. Pictures are way to soft. My note 2 pics sure way more color. My expectations have been tainted from the camera of this beast of a phone.
This phone is incredible. Everything works smartly and the S pen works very well (much better than for example on Note 10.1 tablet). The camera is not that important to me, as I much prefer even a quality compact with RAW shooting over a phone (not to mention an ILC or a DSLR). But the phone's camera comes in handy with the occational snap, taking notes, copying receipts/articles, etc and videos (120 fps recording is useful for me). The screen is of course a pleasure to use.
It also features a serration pattern on the side of the device that evokes a connection to the timeless and enduring strengths of classic notebooks and planners. Samsung GALAXY Note 3 will be available in Jet Black, Classic White and Blush Pink. In order to encourage its customers to express their personality and taste, Samsung will also offer exchangeable back covers in dozens of additional colors at launch.
Action Memo lets you create a handwritten note, then provides a handful of options to manipulate the info you've just jotted down. For example you can scribble a name, number, and other details, then have the choice to either mail the data, save it to your contacts, use it in a text, or look it up on a map. You can also convert notes into to-do lists and even port them over to Evernote for safe keeping.
On a less positive note, there is Samsung's odd choice of materials on the Note 3's removable back panel. The company has addressed some issues I had with the previous model - the back is no longer a smooth, slippery piece of cheap, flimsy plastic - but not to the point of a complete resolution. Aside from the front which is covered with Gorilla Glass, Samsung has used plastic for the rest of the Note 3's build.
my note is fully charged however every time i turn it on. all it does is display the samsung in the middle of the screen and stays there. eventually the phone gets so hot that the only thing to do is turn it back off.. 041b061a72
